Role Summary


Quintessa is a leading Napa Valley fine wine estate producing extraordinary wines. We are seeking an experienced and talented team member to join our team in international sales. The Regional Sales Manager, Asia & Middle East, will work closely with the Director of Exports to support international sales of Quintessa wines. This is a role that can be based out of Asia, ideally in China, Japan or South Korea. This position will cover the following territory: Asia Pacific markets and Middle East. This is a remote position that will be a part of the Export department. This role is responsible for establishing and delivering the company’s annual goals in the designated market by working with and through our distributor partners.


Core Duties & Responsibilities


  • Sustain and manage a portfolio of existing customers, but also prospect and develop sales via importers, distributors, and agents
  • Build a solid and sustainable distribution in line with the strategy of the company


  • Maintain a compliant, productive and profitable operation
  • Formulate market plans by Channel and account. Allocate resources to key retailers in the market
  • Put controls in place to manage local market dollars; be totally transparent with budgeted spend.
  • Monitor competitor activities in the market. Communicate information on competitive strategy & tactics to direct supervisor and key Wholesaler personnel.
  • Ability to understand, measure, monitor and effect; Managing for value, Active Points of Distribution, Price management and models, Channel/Account Management
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations related to import / export activities specifically related to Asian Market
  • Negotiates with vendors for services and rates
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English verbally and written. Chinese/Japanese/French is a plus.
  • Ability to create strong relationships with key clients at both senior and mid-management levels.
  • Ability to travel within Asian markets.


Experience


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in selling fine wines in Asia. Record of successful distribution management
  • Deliver annual commercial goals
  • Passionate and knowledgeable on wine
